The Title of this piece is called Just Primitive by Robin Monique Rios.
This piece was created by layering bits and pieces of Robin's photography to
create texture, lighting and other unique effects and
has been printed directly onto brushed aluminum.

For this years self portrait, Robin has chosen to take a deeper and less personable look into her psyche.
"It is not always easy to truly look at yourself in the mirror for the simple fact that
you don't always like what you might see." Robin says.
Although Robin feels her work in general is quite emotional,
she feels that with this piece she has dipped deeper into
that solitary place where most people never go within themselves.
It is the place, Robin says, where we hide the bad, the ugly, the disappointments,
the fears, the loneliness and the tears that would literally drown you if you ever let them out.

Just Primitive is about going back to the beginning where "IT" began,
it is the looking glass into the deepest, darkest depths, a swirling sea of "Dare Not's."
