Pedro Palacios is a Mexican-American artist whose cultural background provides the thematic foundation for his digital prints and assemblage sculptures. Issues pertaining to immigration reform are primary to his visual work. Whereas Palacios himself is a natural-born citizen, both of his parents immigrated to the United States from central Mexico. Much of Palaciosʼ work incorporates images of religious icons and saints from Latin American sources. Recent solo and group exhibitions: Common Borders, 33 Collective Gallery, Chicago, Illinois; Angeles De La Guardia, Joliet Junior College, Joliet, Illinois; Around the Coyote: Many and Miniatures, Chicago, Illinois.
